The Model 425 is a high-accuracy, field-mounting flow computer engineered for precise volumetric and mass flow computation when interfaced with digital output flow meters. Housed in a ruggedized IP65 weatherproof enclosure featuring a robust tactile keypad, this heavy-duty instrument is built to withstand the most arduous industrial plant conditions and vibrations. The computing core accepts most types of frequency pulse signals—including open collector, reed switch, logic, and proximity sensors—processing high-speed data streams into clear, real-time rate and totalized values. Designed to act as a central hub for B2B process automation, the system provides an array of communication protocols including RS232 and RS485 serial outputs, programmable high/low flow alarms, a scaled pulse output, and an isolated 4-20mA analog loop. Operating flexibly from either an external 12-28Vdc supply or universal AC mains voltage, the Model 425 also delivers an adjustable 8-24Vdc transducer power output to directly energize field sensors, significantly simplifying cabling topography and reducing local hardware overhead.
