The Setra SRIMV is a velocity monitor built for critical spaces like cleanrooms, HVAC systems, and laboratories, where you need to keep an eye on air velocity, not just pressure. It’s a non-BACnet, standalone unit, with the option to also measure and show flow, differential pressure, humidity, and temperature on the same 3-color backlit display.
In actual application, the SRIMV comes in three velocity ranges, up to 2000 ft/min, 4000 ft/min, or 8000 ft/min, with matching metric ranges of 0-10, 0-20, or 0-40 m/s, so it’s a matter of picking the range that fits your duct or room airflow. It also has audible and visual alarms with adjustable high and low set-points for each parameter, so operators get an immediate alert if something drifts out of range.
From our experience, the removable faceplate is a genuinely useful feature. It lets a technician calibrate or adjust the sensor without disconnecting any wiring or plumbing behind it, which keeps maintenance visits short. It’s also available in flush mount or surface mount, depending on how your wall or duct is set up.
