The Setra SRIM1 is Setra’s standard non-BACnet room isolation monitor, built for measuring low differential pressure in critical spaces like hospitals, laboratories, pharmaceutical production areas, and animal/plant rooms. It uses Setra’s dry-capacitor sensing technology: a stainless steel diaphragm and a fixed electrode form a variable capacitor, and as room pressure changes, the capacitance changes with it. That signal gets converted electronically into a linear DC output, and the sensor is temperature compensated for stability over time.
In actual application, the pressure range can be switched on site between unidirectional (one-way) or bidirectional (two-way), and the output can be set on site to 4-20mA, 0-5VDC, or 0-10VDC, so one unit covers a fair range of BMS integration needs. A dual-line widescreen LCD display shows real-time status, and a green/red bi-color LED gives a quick visual on power and pressure status without needing to read the screen closely.
From our experience, this is genuinely easy to maintain on site. The one-piece panel uses adsorption mounting without fasteners, and calibration is modular, meaning zero and range adjustments can be done with the front panel button without removing any cables or pressure pipes. It fits both wall and duct installations, and the mounting depth is under 40mm, with PG9 or 20mm conduit interface options.
