The Setra SRMD is a room monitoring display, meant to be the visible readout for critical spaces like operating rooms, laboratories, and medical manufacturing cleanrooms. Instead of building the sensor itself, it takes a 0-5VDC or 0-10VDC signal from whatever sensor is already on site, so it works with most existing pressure, humidity, or temperature transmitters. It can also come pre-calibrated straight from the factory if it’s paired with a Setra humidity and temperature sensor.
In actual application, the main selling point is visibility. It uses 1-inch illuminated LCD characters, available in red, green, or blue, that can be read from up to 30 feet away, which matters in a room where staff need to see the reading at a glance without walking up to the wall. It’s available as a single display or a dual display, so one unit can show two parameters side by side if the room needs it.
From our experience, installation is straightforward. The SRMD fits into an off-the-shelf electrical gang box, so there’s no need for a custom enclosure at rough-in stage, and it accepts either 24VDC or 24VAC power. The housing is IP-54 rated and wipe-down, which suits cleanroom and medical environments where the unit needs to be cleaned regularly.
