The MTT MS3769 Slim Plug-In Absolute Value Signal Conditioner takes a DC current or voltage signal that swings through both positive and negative polarity and converts it into a single, always-positive absolute value output. This is useful wherever a control system cares only about the magnitude of a signal and not its direction, such as monitoring vibration or AC ripple that has been rectified into a bipolar DC representation, or any measurement where a plus/minus swing needs to be folded into one consistent reading for downstream indicators or alarms.
Front-accessible trimmers allow zero and span to be adjusted on site, and an optional fast-response configuration is available for processes where the absolute value output needs to track a rapidly changing input. Dual isolated outputs let the converted signal be sent to two separate destinations from a single module, and four-way galvanic isolation between input, output, and power keeps the signal free of noise and ground-loop interference throughout.
