The MTT MS3767 Slim Plug-In Temperature/Pressure Compensator corrects a flow measurement for variations in process temperature, pressure, or differential pressure so that the resulting reading reflects true compensated flow rather than a raw, uncorrected signal. Flow calculations based on differential pressure or velocity are sensitive to the density of the fluid being measured, and density itself shifts with temperature and pressure, so a compensator like the MS3767 is what keeps a flow total accurate as process conditions drift throughout the day.
Multiple compensation equations are available, including combined temperature and pressure compensation as well as temperature-only variants with or without square-root extraction, so the module can be matched to exactly the correction the application calls for. Front-accessible selector switches and trimmers let the compensation parameters be configured on site, and configurable dropout and clamping levels help protect against erroneous low-flow readings. As with other MS-series modules, galvanic isolation between input, output, and power keeps the compensated signal free of noise and ground-loop interference.
