West Pro-16 Single Loop Controller
The West Pro-16 is a 1/16 DIN single loop controller from West’s newer Pro series, built with a dual-line display that shows both a numeric process value and plain text status information, so operators get more context than a simple digit readout provides. With up to six configurable outputs and selectable control strategies, it is built to handle a wide range of industrial heating and cooling applications from one compact controller.
How It Works
Pro-16 accepts a universal input covering thermocouple, RTD, or DC linear mA/mV sensors, with external setpoint and remote setpoint current monitoring for supervisory integration. Its up to six outputs can be configured as relay, logic/SSR driver, or DC linear mA/VDC, and two manually selectable PID sets let the controller switch between separate heat and cool tuning parameters for processes with different thermal characteristics in each direction. Selectable 2-point, continuous PID, or 3-point stepping control covers everything from simple on-off applications to more demanding continuous process control, and an optional RS485 communications card connects it into a wider control system.
