West MAXVU16 Compact Temperature Controller
The West MAXVU16 is a 1/16 DIN temperature controller designed to be genuinely fast to set up, with a high-visibility display and a front-panel configuration process that West CS built around a 60-second setup target. It brings flexible sensor inputs and configurable outputs into a compact panel-mount case, making it a practical choice wherever a straightforward, quick-to-commission single-loop controller is needed.
How It Works
MAXVU16 accepts thermocouple, PT100 RTD, or a wide range of DC linear inputs, and its 2 or 3 configurable outputs can be set as relay or solid-state relay (SSR) to suit heat-only or heat/cool strategies. Two configurable alarms support absolute, deviation, band, or loop modes with latching or non-latching outputs, and built-in ramp/dwell functionality with adjustable delay timing helps manage startup and process transitions. Configuration can be done entirely from the front-panel keys or through dedicated MAXVU software with a graphical setup wizard for more complex configurations.
Key Features
- High-visibility display designed for fast, at-a-glance readouts
- Thermocouple, RTD, and DC linear input options
- 2 or 3 configurable relay or SSR outputs for heat-only or heat/cool control
- Two configurable alarms with absolute, deviation, band, or loop modes
- Optional RS485 Modbus RTU communications
- Front-panel setup in under 60 seconds, or full configuration via MAXVU software
Applications
MAXVU16 suits general industrial single-loop heating and heat/cool applications where fast commissioning and straightforward day-to-day operation matter, including OEM equipment, packaging machinery, and process heating skids that need a compact, reliable 1/16 DIN controller.
