West PMA KS 50-1 PID Temperature Controller
The West PMA KS 50-1 is a 1/8 DIN single loop controller from the KS series, offering an expanded set of output options compared to the base KS controllers so it can drive a wider range of final control elements directly. It combines universal sensor inputs with selectable control strategies, making it a versatile choice for processes with more demanding output wiring requirements.
How It Works
KS 50-1 accepts a universal input covering thermocouple, RTD, or DC linear mA/mV sensors, with external setpoint and heating current monitoring for supervisory integration. Its up to three outputs can be configured as relay, logic, continuous signal, or optocoupler types, giving it broader compatibility with SSRs, PLCs, and other control elements than a relay-only controller. Selectable 2-point, continuous PID, or 3-point stepping control lets it match whichever control strategy the connected process needs, and Modbus RS422/485 communications integrate it into supervisory systems.
