The Precision Digital PD6628 Loop Leader is an intrinsically safe, nonincendive digital flow rate totalizer designed for hazardous area applications. This loop-powered 1/8 DIN panel meter operates directly from a 4–20 mA signal, eliminating the need for an external power supply while providing simultaneous display of flow rate and totalized flow.
The PD6628 features a large dual-line LCD display with a 5-digit alphanumeric upper display and an 8-digit alphanumeric lower display. Operators can easily view flow rate, total, grand total, engineering units, custom tags, or user-defined messages. An integrated bargraph provides instant visual indication of process conditions, enabling faster monitoring and improved operational awareness.
Engineered for demanding industrial environments, the PD6628 includes a rugged Type 4X / NEMA 4X / IP65-rated front panel and a two-color backlit display for excellent visibility in both indoor and outdoor installations. Its compact design makes it an ideal solution for oil & gas, chemical processing, water treatment, power generation, and other hazardous location flow measurement applications.
Configuration and setup are simplified through the built-in Micro USB port and free MeterView XL software. Standard models include two open-collector outputs and one digital input, while optional versions are available with two solid-state relays and an isolated 4–20 mA analog output for advanced process control and signal retransmission.
For maximum safety and regulatory compliance, the PD6628 is UL and C-UL Listed as Intrinsically Safe and Nonincendive, and is certified to both ATEX and IECEx Intrinsically Safe standards.
