Some of our customers batching chemicals or fuel need more than just an accurate fill. They also need to know who ran the batch, and prove it later if a regulator or an auditor asks. The Contrec 515 BS03 Secure Dual Stage Batch Controller is built for exactly this.
Like the standard dual stage controllers in the 515 series, the BS03 fills fast with a coarse valve, then switches to a slow fine valve as the target volume gets close, so the batch lands on target without overshoot. It reads mass frequency flowmeter input (pulse, turbine coil, sine wave, or Namur proximity signals), and it keeps automatic overrun compensation running in the background, adjusting valve closure timing based on the overshoot from the last 3 batches.
What makes it “Secure” is the operator control layer on top. It reads an ID-Tag through an iButton reader connected to the serial port, so only a validated operator can start a batch. It can also require a permissive signal before batching begins. Every delivery is logged with a timestamp, up to 1000 transactions, with the ID-Tag recorded against each one, so deliveries can be linked back to an operator or an external database if needed.
Before we quote this, we would normally check your flowmeter type and signal, your line pressure and fluid, and whether you actually need the ID-Tag/logging features or just the standard dual stage batching.
