Some batching operations need to know who ran the batch, not just how much went through. The Contrec 515 BS01 Secure Access Batch Controller is a dual stage batch controller, tailored for volumetric flowmeter input, that adds an operator validation layer on top of the standard batching logic.
Before a batch can start, it reads an ID-Tag through an i-button reader connected to the serial port, so only a validated operator can begin. Every delivery is logged with the ID-Tag number, so deliveries can be linked back to an operator or an external database if needed.
Underneath the security layer, it runs the same batching logic as the standard 500 Series controllers: coarse then fine valve staging, automatic overrun compensation averaged over the last 3 batches, quick access to common presets, and flow timeouts. It reads volumetric flowmeter frequency outputs, millivolt signal, reed switch, Namur proximity switch, or pulse train, selectable from the front panel.
Before we quote this, we would normally check your flowmeter signal type, your preset volumes, and whether you need the ID-Tag validation on every batch or only above a certain volume.
Hope this helps.
