The Contrec 214Di.2 is the standard wall mount version of the 214Di ATEX/IECEx intrinsically safe Batch Controller, fitted with standard cable gland holes. This is the version we quote most often, since it goes straight onto a wall or bracket near the flowmeter and valve skid without needing a panel cut-out.
Like the rest of the 214Di family, it takes a pulse or frequency signal from any digital output flowmeter and drives two solid state relay outputs, so it can run a two-stage valve sequence for accurate batching, coarse flow first and a slow trickle to close in on the target. It carries ATEX and IECEx certification for hazardous area use, and the magnetic key lets the technician reconfigure the K-factor and settings from outside the enclosure without opening it live.
Before we quote this, we would normally check the zone classification of the installation area, the flowmeter’s own hazardous area certificate, and confirm the customer’s cable entry sizes so the right gland is fitted. Power is 9-28V DC with battery backup for the display and logic only, so we would also confirm the DC supply is available at the mounting location. Hope this helps.
