We had an enquiry from a customer who needed to replace an existing temperature signal converter – RTD or thermocouple input, isolated 4~20mA output, DIN rail mounted. The ADtek SD-T covers this on paper, but before we quote it we need to flag something important: ADtek has officially phased this model out as of June 2023.
This looks simple, but a phased-out model changes the conversation. The SD-T’s specs are still genuine and still on ADtek’s site as a historical datasheet – input programmable for RTD Pt100Ω or thermocouple type K, J, E, T, R, S, B, with 4~20mA output available as loop powered, self powered, or auxiliary powered, in an ultra-slim 7.6mm DIN rail housing. But since it’s discontinued at the manufacturer level, we cannot guarantee stock, and any unit we can still source would be from remaining inventory, not a fresh production run.
In actual application, if your application specs genuinely need this exact form factor and wiring, we can check what stock is still available. Otherwise, ADtek’s current slim-type converter range would be the more sensible route, since it gets you an actively supported model with full manufacturer backing instead of old stock.
From our experience, before we quote this, we would normally check whether you need this specific phased-out model for a like-for-like replacement, or whether you’re open to ADtek’s current equivalent, plus your RTD/thermocouple type and output wiring (loop, self, or auxiliary powered).
