We had an enquiry from a customer who needed to duplicate an existing 4~20mA loop signal into two separate outputs, powered from AC230V – one signal going to a PLC and another to a local indicator, for example. The ADtek MT-CL is built for exactly this, and this particular listing, MT-CL2-DD-A2, is a specific pre-configured build: dual output, both outputs 4~20mA, with AC230V auxiliary power.
This looks simple, but the MT-CL’s part number actually encodes the full configuration. ADtek builds this 8-pin plug-in converter to order from an order code – output loop (single or dual), output 1 range, output 2 range, and auxiliary power voltage. The “2” means dual output, the two “D”s mean both outputs are 4~20mA, and “A2” means AC230V auxiliary power. If you need a different combination – single output, a voltage range instead of current, or a different auxiliary supply (AC115V, or DC12/24/48/110V) – that would be a different part number entirely.
In actual application, the MT-CL takes a DC 4~20mA input and reprograms it to 6 popular output ranges by dip switch, so it’s commonly used to duplicate or isolate a loop signal at low cost. It plugs into the same 8-pin socket as the rest of ADtek’s MT series, which keeps spares simple.
From our experience, before we quote this, we would normally confirm you need exactly this configuration – dual 4~20mA output on AC230V power – since a different output range or power supply changes the part number. Hope this helps.
