West Pro-EC44 Dual Temperature Controller
The West Pro-EC44 is West’s flagship 1/4 DIN controller, combining two independent control loops, a full graphical color display, and a built-in datalogger with real-time clock in one instrument. Where simpler controllers show a number, the Pro-EC44 shows a live trend, making it a genuine paperless recorder as well as a dual-loop process controller, and its Ethernet and USB connectivity bring it firmly into modern networked plant environments.
How It Works
Pro-EC44 accepts one or two universal inputs covering thermocouple, RTD, or DC linear mA/mV sensors, plus external remote setpoint and up to nine digital inputs for supervisory signals. Its up to nine outputs can be configured as relay, logic/SSR driver, triac, or DC linear mA/VDC, supporting single or dual PID control, cascade and ratio control, and gain scheduling across up to five PID sets. A built-in profiler runs up to 255 segments across as many as 64 profiles, each with 5 event tracks, so complex multi-stage processes can be automated and recorded in detail. The graphical red/green backlit LCD doubles as a live data display and paperless recorder, with an integrated datalogger and real-time clock capturing process history.
