The MTT MS3714 is a slim plug-in limiter that converts a DC current or voltage signal into a standard output while clamping it within adjustable upper and lower boundaries. If the incoming signal spikes or drops beyond the range a process can safely handle, the MS3714 holds its output at the set limit instead of passing the excursion through, protecting downstream controllers, recorders, and displays from over-range signals and helping keep a process from being driven outside its safe operating window.
Both limits are independently adjustable, so the unit can be tuned to the exact ceiling and floor a given application needs. Like the rest of the plug-in transmitter series, the MS3714 clips into its own socket base for fast swap-out during calibration or maintenance, and a second isolated output is available for feeding an independent monitoring system. Flexible AC or DC power plus wall or DIN rail mounting make it easy to fit into an existing panel.

What limit range can the MS3714 be set to?
The upper and lower limits are independently adjustable, from -10% to +105% of span, so you can tune the exact ceiling and floor your application needs. The factory default is 100%/0%.
Does the MS3714 correct the signal, or just clamp it?
It just clamps it. Within the set limits, the output tracks the input signal normally. Only when the input tries to go above the upper limit or below the lower limit does the MS3714 hold the output flat at that limit instead of following the signal further.
Can the MS3714 provide two separate outputs?
Yes — a second isolated output is available, so the limited signal can feed a controller and a separate monitoring or logging system at the same time.
How do I know if I need the MS3714?
