The MTT MS3710-02 is a constant-current version of the plug-in potentiometer transmitter. Instead of exciting the sensor with a fixed voltage, it feeds the potentiometer a regulated excitation current, which keeps the measurement stable even when lead wire resistance changes with cable length or temperature. That makes it a good fit for position and level sensors mounted some distance from the control panel, where a voltage-excited transmitter would otherwise lose accuracy over the run.
As with the rest of the plug-in transmitter range, the MS3710-02 clips into its own socket base so it can be swapped out for calibration or replacement in seconds without disturbing the field wiring. Current or voltage output options are available, with a second isolated output for feeding an independent monitoring or control loop, and flexible AC or DC power plus wall or DIN rail mounting make it easy to fit into an existing panel.
