The Contrec 515 GN04 is a reliable instrument designed to measure the volume, mass, and total heat content of natural gas. This advanced chemical injection control system utilizes single or stacked differential pressure meters, including orifice plates, nozzles, venturi tubes, and V-Cones, along with temperature and pressure sensor inputs for precise measurements.
This device calculates gas flow using standard differential pressure equations applicable to ISO 5167 or V-Cone meters. The flow calculations take into account the specific conditions under which the flowmeter was calibrated, ensuring accurate results that consider the effects of thermal expansion.
To achieve precise density and compressibility factor values for flow calculations, the AGA-8 Detail Characterization Method is employed.

The calculations for gas density and compressibility factors are based on the AGA-8 equations, which are valid within the following ranges:
-130°C < t < 400°C, P < 280MPa
-200°F < t < 760°F, P < 40000psia
