The Contrec 102A Flow Rate Totalizer is a self-contained field instrument that draws its own operating power directly from a standard 4-20mA flowmeter loop, so it can be added to an existing installation without running separate power wiring out to the field. Once connected, it displays live flow rate and running total on its own weatherproof LCD, giving operators a local readout without needing to walk back to a control room panel.
Housed in a watertight IP67 enclosure built to handle washdown areas and outdoor mounting, the 102A processes either linear or square-law input signals and drives high/low rate alarms through optically isolated solid-state outputs, with an optional scaled pulse output available for feeding a remote counter or PLC. Non-volatile memory keeps programmed parameters and accumulated totals safe through a power interruption, and the whole unit is configured from its own tactile keypad without needing a laptop or separate programming tool.
