The Contrec 202Di is the ATEX and IECEx certified version of the 202D Rate Totalizer, built for pulse or frequency-output flowmeters installed in hazardous areas. It works with turbine, positive displacement, and paddlewheel flowmeters, covering applications from irrigation systems to pipeline metering and mechanical register replacements, and gives plant engineers an intrinsically safe display and totalizing instrument without a separate barrier enclosure.
Power is flexible: it runs on its own long-life lithium batteries with no external wiring at all, or it can be loop-powered from an optional 4-20mA output, or run from a 9-28V DC supply, with battery backup carried across every option so programmed settings and totals are never lost. The certification covers the 4-20mA output, the relay outputs, and the input circuits, so the whole unit, not just part of it, is rated for the classified zone. Housed in a rugged, watertight enclosure, it’s built to keep running reliably in demanding field conditions.
