West 8010+ Temperature Process Indicator
Not every panel position needs a full controller — sometimes an operator just needs a trustworthy readout with an alarm attached. The West 8010+ is a dedicated process indicator that displays a process variable clearly, tracks its high and low extremes, and can alarm and retransmit the signal without ever trying to control anything itself.
How It Works
A jumperless input configuration accepts thermocouple, RTD, or DC linear signals directly from setup software or the front panel, so there’s no hardware to swap when a job changes. Up to five alarms — process high, low, or logical combinations — flag out-of-range conditions with adjustable hysteresis, while retransmit outputs pass a scaled signal on to a PLC, chart recorder, or SCADA system. Min/max hold and tare functions make it easy to check where a process has been, not just where it is right now.
Key Features
- 4-digit LED display with process value, max, min, and alarm elapsed time
- Up to 5 configurable alarms with adjustable hysteresis
- Jumperless input configuration — no hardware swaps needed
- Retransmit outputs for PLC, SCADA, or chart recorder integration
- Optional RS485 Modbus/ASCII communications
Applications
Used wherever a process needs clear visual monitoring and alarming without closed-loop control — utility monitoring, secondary process checks, and panels where the control decision is made elsewhere.
