The Setra MRMS is a multi-room monitoring station, built to bring critical room conditions from up to 8 rooms into one central screen, typically a nurse station in a hospital. It shows everything on a 4.3-inch color touch screen, and it raises audible and visual alarms so staff notice a problem without having to walk room to room checking individual monitors.
In actual application, the feature that saves the most setup time is Auto-Discover. Instead of manually adding each room monitor, the MRMS automatically finds and connects other Setra BACnet products on the network, pulls in their MAC addresses and BACnet objects, and lets the customer name the parameters however makes sense for that facility.
From our experience, this is the right fit when a project already has several Setra BACnet room monitors and needs one place to watch all of them, rather than staff checking each room’s display individually. It genuinely does cut installation time and reduces the day-to-day burden on nursing staff.
Before we quote this, we would normally check how many rooms you need to bring into the MRMS, and confirm the existing room monitors are Setra BACnet units so Auto-Discover can pick them up. Hope this helps.
