The Setra 217 is an ultra-high purity pressure transducer built for modular “block” gas bars and panels, the kind of installation where cold airflow can cause real temperature transients right at the sensor. It uses a downward-mounted pressure port with a Type C or W seal and a small sensor chamber that is easy to purge, so it copes well with that kind of environment.
All wetted parts are 316L VIM/VAR stainless steel, passivated to 5 Ra (7 Ra max) finish for a smooth, chemically resistant surface, and every sensor is mass spectrometer helium leak tested to 1×10-9 ATM.CC/sec. Inside, it uses Setra’s variable capacitance technology with a 316L stainless steel diaphragm and insulated electrode plate, giving a stable voltage or current output that is largely immune to EMI/RFI interference. Pressure ranges run from 25 to 3000 PSI (1.7 to 200 bar) in gauge, compound or absolute configurations, with accuracy of ±0.25% FS or ±1.0% reading, and output of 4-20mA, 0-5VDC, 0-10VDC, 0.2-5.2VDC or 0.2-10.2VDC.
From our experience, this is specified for modular “block” gas bars and panels, high purity gas delivery systems, and semiconductor process tools. Before we quote this, we would normally check the pressure range, output signal, and seal type (C or W) needed. Hope this helps.
