The Precision Digital ProtEX-MAX™ PD8-6001 is an explosion-proof level indicator that combines advanced features with safety certifications. It is fully approved by ATEX, IECEx, FM, and CSA, making it a reliable choice for hazardous environments.
This model is designed to display levels in feet and inches, which is more user-friendly than the typical decimal format. It accepts various input signals, including:
- Process current (4-20 mA)
- Process voltage (0-5V, 1-5V, etc.)
The dual-line display shows the input signal clearly, with the upper line indicating feet and inches. It can even show fractions of an inch in eighths or sixteenths, providing precise measurements. The lower line can be customized to display a tag or convert the input into other units, such as gallons or liters.
Included with the PD8-6001 is a 24 VDC power supply to support the transmitter. This model can also be equipped with up to four internal relays and a 4-20 mA output for added functionality. Programming and operation are easy and safe, thanks to the built-in SafeTouch® through-glass buttons and the RS485 serial communication port, which supports the free Modbus® protocol.
