The MTT MS3768 Slim Plug-In Programmable Linearizer takes a non-linear DC current or voltage input and converts it into a linearized, isolated output that tracks the true process variable rather than the raw sensor characteristic. Many field sensors, such as tank level probes on irregularly shaped vessels or flow elements with a non-linear output curve, do not produce a signal that scales evenly with the quantity being measured — the MS3768 corrects for that curve so downstream instrumentation reads a properly linearized value.
Configuration is done through a PC connected via RS-232C, where up to 21 breakpoints can be programmed to approximate the input’s characteristic curve using linear interpolation between segments. This makes the MS3768 adaptable to a wide range of non-linear sensor types without needing a custom-built conditioner for each one. Front-panel LED indicators show run and fault status at a glance, and galvanic isolation between input, output, and power protects the linearized signal from noise and ground loops.
