The MTT MS3710-01 is a 4-wire version of the plug-in potentiometer transmitter, built for applications where the sensor sits some distance from the panel. By carrying the excitation current and the measurement signal on separate pairs of wires, it cancels out the voltage drop that would otherwise build up along long lead runs, so the reading stays accurate even when the potentiometer is mounted well away from its transmitter.
Like the rest of the plug-in transmitter series, the MS3710-01 clips into its own socket base, so a unit can be swapped out for calibration or replacement in seconds without disturbing the field wiring. It offers a choice of current or voltage outputs, with a second isolated output available for feeding a separate control or monitoring system, and flexible AC or DC power plus wall or DIN rail mounting make it straightforward to fit into an existing panel.
