Sometimes the simplest technology is the most dependable — the FineTek SE Series rotary paddle level switch has proven that for point-level detection of bulk solids in bins, silos, and hoppers for years. It mounts through the bin wall at whatever level position you need to monitor: high, intermediate, or low.
How It Works
With no material present, a synchronous motor keeps the paddle rotating at a steady 1 RPM. As soon as bulk material surrounds and impedes the paddle, the motor stalls and an internal micro switch changes state, signaling an alarm or triggering a control action. Once the material clears again, the paddle resumes turning and the output resets automatically.
