FineTek EFX By-Pass Level Transmitter

Want to see tank level at a glance without cracking open the vessel? The FineTek EF/MEF Series by-pass level transmitter — commonly known as a magnetic level gauge — mounts outside the tank and shows liquid level instantly through the colour change of its magnetic flags. It’s available in the standard EF size or the compact MEF mini version.

How It Works

The by-pass indicator works on the hydrostatic principle. Inside a self-contained chamber, a float carrying a magnet rises and falls with the liquid level in the tank. As it moves, magnetic attraction flips the indicator flags to show the current level. For remote monitoring, optional magnetic switches and a level transducer can be added for electrical output.

● GENERAL DESCRIPTION
TypeBy-Pass Level Indicator / Transmitter
Operating PrincipleHydrostatic principle. The chamber is piped externally to a vessel/tank. A magnetic float rises and drops inside the by-pass chamber with the liquid level. Magnetic flags in an external display flip via magnetic attraction as the float passes, giving a visual level readout based on flag color change.
Power Requirement (base indicator)None – purely mechanical/magnetic. Not operated by electricity, so unaffected by power failure. Optional Magnetic Switch and/or Level Transducer (see separate product tables below) add electrical signal output.
ApplicationsHigh temperature, high pressure, strong acid, strong alkaline and hazardous-location service. Textile dyeing, sewage water processing, power generation, boiler, and petrochemical industries.

Support / Fixed HolderRequired when C-C length exceeds: Plastic type >1.5m; Metal type >3.5m. Distance between fix support/flange must be within 1m (plastic) or 2.5m (metal).
