FineTek EEX Electromechanical Level Measuring System
Radar and ultrasonic sensors can struggle in dusty silos — the FineTek EEX (EE300 Series) electromechanical level measuring system doesn’t have that problem. This weight-and-cable inventory system measures bulk solids by physically lowering a sensing weight to the material surface, giving a reading that’s unaffected by dust, dielectric constant, or the material’s angle of repose. It works as a standalone sensor or scales up with a remote control unit (RCU) or MMS-TL inventory management software.
How It Works
This third-generation weight-and-cable sensor combines a sensing weight, a heavy-duty stainless steel cable, a distance-measuring component, and a position-detection sensor. On each measuring cycle, the weight lowers into the vessel until it touches the material surface, which the position sensor detects. The weight then retracts to its home position, and the system updates its outputs and data at the end of the cycle.
