| Power Supply | If the panel meter is not supplied with power, prepare a 24V power supply for use. |
| Max. Cable Length | Depends on max. loop resistance; resistance must not exceed (Vs-22) x 50Ω to ensure measurement accuracy. |
| Cable Routing | Separate signal cable from other high-power cables (pumps, conveyors, solenoid valves). Verify all wiring before powering on. |
| Grounding | Transmitter cover must contact the tank perfectly; avoid panel meter grounding touching the tank wall. Connect isolation cable to GND of power. Process connection should be grounded during installation. |
| EMI Mitigation | If a heater or other electric device is present in the application, contacting the transmitter cover to the tank can reduce EMI. |
| Installation Notes | Use Two Rod Probe type for non-conductive tanks, or install a concentric metal pipe shield (with vent hole) around the probe. Keep rod/wire probe parallel to and clear of the tank wall. Use a Coating Probe type for conductive media (bare electrode will not work correctly). Housing cover and conduit opening must be sealed/tightened to prevent moisture ingress. For non-conductive powder/granule media in large tanks, fix the wire probe to the bottom of the tank. A pipe shield is recommended if an agitator is present. |
