The Contrec 515 GN12 is a reliable solution for measuring the volume, mass, and total heat content of natural gas. It utilizes analog inputs for volume flow, temperature, and pressure to provide accurate readings.

You can choose the Flowmeter input signal as either 0-5V, 1-5V, or 4-20mA. You can also set minimum and maximum points, and apply non-linear correction points to enhance the accuracy of the flowmeter’s performance.

For precise flow calculations, the SGERG calculation method (AGA-8 Detail Characterization Method) is employed to determine the density and compressibility factors of the gas.

CALCULATIONS

The calculations for gas density and compressibility factors are derived from the AGA-8 equations. These calculations are applicable within the following conditions:
-8.0°C < t < 62.0°C, P < 12MPa
17°F < t < 143.0°F, P < 1740psia

FORMULAS
Mflow = volume flow • ρflow
corrected flow = Mflow / ρ ref
Heat flow = Mflow • Hm

Mflow = mass flow
ρflow = density under flow conditions
ρ ref = density under reference conditions
Hm = mass gross heating value
