The Contrec 515 DG01 density converter is designed to work with Sarasota density meters, temperature and pressure transmitters, and an additional input that can be customized for a Customer Defined Function (look-up table). This advanced chemical injection control system calculates the line density from the output of the density meter and uses temperature and pressure data to determine density under standard conditions. It also computes specific gravity and other important density-related metrics.
This density converter is compatible with various density meter pulse outputs, including millivolt signals, reed switches, Namur proximity switches, and pulse trains, all accessible through its user-friendly front-panel program selection.
The line density calculations rely on the precise average period of pulses from density meters like the Sarasota Industrial Density Meter FD910. It offers a range of calculations tailored to the specific gas type and measurement conditions, ensuring accuracy for the vapor phase of gases.
Equations of State used in the calculations include:
• Ideal Gas
• Redlich-Kwong
• Soave-Redlich-Kwong
• Peng-Robinson
