The Contrec 515 BS01 is a reliable dual-stage batch controller designed for accurate measurement of preset quantities using a volumetric frequency input. Before starting a batch, the device can be configured to recognize a valid ID-Tag through an ‘i-button’ module connected to the serial port.
This industrial dosing pump controller offers operators a clear local readout. The ID-Tag number is recorded as part of the transaction log, allowing for easy linking of deliveries to external databases. It includes essential features from the standard 500 Series batching, such as automatic overrun compensation, quick access to common presets, and flow timeouts.
The instrument works with a variety of flowmeter frequency outputs, including millivolt signals, reed switches, Namur proximity switches, and pulse trains, thanks to its intuitive front-panel program selection.
CALCULATIONS
The total volume and flow rate are calculated from precisely measured frequency and the number of pulses received.
Volume = pulses/k-factor
Volume flow = frequency/k-factor
Automatic overrun compensation adjusts the valve closure point to ensure accurate delivery by averaging the overrun amount from the last three completed batches.
The overrun compensation value is applicable for a new preset value as long as the stored overrun is less than 20% of the new preset.
