We had an enquiry from a customer looking for a controller to automate a batching or dispensing process – weighing out material against a load cell, then triggering the next step once the target weight is reached. They had come across the ADtek A7-SG in an old catalog listing and asked if we could quote it.

From what we could confirm from that manual, the A7-SG is a load cell (strain gauge) weight display and batching controller, built for automatic control of batching, dispensing, and mixing processes – for single or multiple materials – and designed to work alongside a PLC, HMI, or a direct computer connection. It takes a low-level load cell signal directly (in the mV range) through a 24-bit A/D converter, with a dual display panel that can show the weight and setting values at the same time, and a modular card-based design – separate load cell input, general input, output, analog output, and RS-485/RS-232 communication cards – so the I/O can be configured to the application. It also has built-in noise and interference protection against power line, microwave, and radio interference, which matters in a factory environment near motors and switching equipment.
From our experience, before we take this further, we would recommend confirming current stock availability with us first, since this looks to be an older, no-longer-catalogued model.
