The MTT MS3910 Chassis-mounting Potentiometer Transmitter converts the resistance variation from a potentiometer sensor into a standard isolated DC output, giving position and level measurements based on a simple resistive element a clean interface into a process control system. Packaged in the compact chassis-mount format shared with the rest of the MS39-series, it is designed for high-density installations on MTT’s RC3900 chassis platform.
The input resistance range is selectable from 0-100Ω up to 0-10kΩ, so one transmitter model can be configured to match a wide variety of potentiometer sensors simply by setting the range rather than substituting a different unit. Dual output combinations of voltage and current are available to match the receiving equipment, zero and span are adjustable to fine-tune the reading, and isolation between input, both outputs, and power keeps the transmitted signal clean and protected from noise and ground loops.
