We had an enquiry from a customer building special-purpose machinery who needed a compact incremental encoder that could still deliver a high number of lines for precise feedback, without taking up much space on the machine.
Hengstler’s ICURO RI36 is a small industrial rotary encoder built for high numbers of lines, up to 3600, with high dependability. It carries IP64 ingress protection, CE and cULus approvals, and is available with hub shaft or solid shaft (4mm, 6mm, 8mm, or 10mm), with push-pull, push-pull complementary, or RS422 interface. It is commonly used on CNC axes, machine tools, robots, special machinery, and high-speed spoolers.
From our experience, before we quote this, we would normally check the exact shaft type (hub or solid) and diameter needed, the resolution (lines), and the interface/output type. Hope this helps.
