| Type | Magnetic float level switch (reed-switch actuated) |
| Working Principle | A permanent magnet is sealed inside a float ball that rides up/down a stem (tube). When the float’s internal magnet approaches the reed switch inside the stem, it actuates the reed switch contact, opening or closing a circuit (N.O. / N.C.) to indicate liquid level. No external power is required to actuate the switch. |

| Selection Guidance: PVDF max. 120°C; PP max. 80°C; SUS304/316 max. 200°C. Max. pressure of plastic floats is 5 kg/cm² (SUS floats 35 kg/cm²; S10 floats up to 50 kg/cm²). Use plastic float for acid/alkaline chemical corrosion; PVDF float is noted for high-temperature corrosive cases. Use stainless steel floats for gasoline, fuel oil, and petroleum applications. Float S.G. must be smaller than the liquid S.G., otherwise buoyancy cannot lift the float. For high-viscosity liquids, choose a smaller S.G. float with a greater diameter. |
