The Contrec 515 OC01 open channel flow computer is designed to accurately measure fluid flow in open channels. It utilizes a frequency flow meter that provides a velocity proportional output, along with an analogue level input. By combining the level input with specific dimensional parameters, the system calculates the cross-sectional area of the fluid flowing through the channel.
This flow measurement system supports various standard channel shapes, including Rectangular, Triangular, Trapezoidal, Circular, and Half-Round. Additionally, for unique channel shapes, the Non-linear selection feature allows the level input to accurately represent the actual cross-sectional area of the fluid at different levels, making it a versatile solution for industrial flow measurement applications.
