The Contrec 515 CS12 Condensate and Steam Flow Computer is designed to accurately measure the energy of returning condensate in a closed steam to condensate system. It calculates the volume, mass, and energy content of both steam and condensate using an analog volume flowmeter installed in the condensate line, along with temperature and pressure inputs.
This steam flow measurement device performs energy calculations based on simultaneous readings from sensors in the steam and condensate lines. With various operational modes, it is ideal for different steam to condensate applications.
Following the IAPWS Industrial Formulation (1997), this instrument effectively calculates the mass flow and energy based on the thermodynamic properties of steam. It uses pressure and temperature data to determine specific volume and specific enthalpy, ensuring accurate flow measurement and energy accounting.
