The Contrec 202A Loop-Powered Flow Rate Totalizer is designed to work perfectly with any flowmeter that produces a 4-20mA output. This includes different types of flowmeters like differential pressure devices, magnetic flowmeters, and vortex flowmeters. The Contrec 202A runs entirely on the power from the 4-20mA current loop, which results in a maximum voltage drop of just 2.5 volts across the input. It has received certifications for intrinsic safety according to European CENELEC standards and CSA standards for both the USA and Canada.
This Flow Rate Totalizer is fully programmable to support linear or square law input relationships. You can easily set the span, cutoffs, and conversion factors. All configuration settings and totals are saved in non-volatile memory, so there’s no need for internal batteries or external power sources. The unit also includes high and low alarms through optically isolated solid-state relay outputs. Plus, the high alarm output can be set to provide a scaled pulse output that is proportional to the total.
The Contrec 202A is built in a tough IP67 (NEMA 4X) polycarbonate enclosure, ensuring it is completely watertight. This design allows for direct mounting on the flow meter, or it can be mounted on a panel or wall using a special universal bracket. The Flow Rate Totalizer comes with a wall mounting bracket, and optional accessories include a 2″ panel and pipe mounting bracket.
