We had an enquiry from a customer who had a 4~20mA transmitter signal (level, pressure, whatever the process variable was) and just wanted a panel meter to show the reading – no fuss, no PLC integration needed yet. The ADtek CS1-PR is the straightforward choice for this, but like the CS1-VA, “CS1-PR” alone is a family name, not a single order code.
This looks simple, but the CS1-PR is built to order across four choices: the input signal range (0(4)~20mA, 0~10V/0(1)~5V, or both combined in one indicator with input code AV), the optional output (1 relay, 1 analogue output, or RS-485 – pick one, or none), an excitation supply option (DC24V, for powering a 2-wire loop transmitter directly from the meter, if you don’t already have a separate power supply for it), and the auxiliary power for the meter itself. Skip specifying any of these and we can’t give you a firm order code.
In actual application, once configured, the CS1-PR measures your 0~10V or 0(4)~20mA signal directly, with the option to add a relay for alarm/control, an analogue retransmission output, or RS-485 Modbus RTU for a PLC or SCADA link later on. It’s CE approved and RoHS compliant.
From our experience, before we quote this, we would normally check what signal you’re bringing in (voltage or 4-20mA loop), whether your transmitter needs loop excitation power from the meter or already has its own supply, what output (if any) you need, and what supply voltage is available at the panel.
