The West PMA KS 90-1 sits at the top of the KS single loop range, built for industrial processes that need more inputs, more outputs, and richer on-screen feedback than the standard KS controllers provide. Its Day & Night display presents plain text and bargraphs for genuinely readable operator feedback, while up to six configurable outputs give it the flexibility to drive complex multi-element control schemes from one unit.
How It Works
KS 90-1 accepts a universal input covering thermocouple, RTD, or DC linear mA/mV sensors, and extends further with external setpoint, ratio input, potentiometer input, and heating current monitoring for advanced supervisory and cascade applications. Its up to six outputs can be configured as relay, logic, linear mA/VDC, or optocoupler types, and communications extend beyond standard Modbus to include Profibus-DP for integration into larger industrial networks. The Day & Night display automatically adjusts for readability in changing ambient light, showing process information as both plain text and bargraphs.
