Introducing the SuperNova PD500 Series PID Process & Temperature Controllers, your go-to solution for precise temperature management. These controllers come in popular sizes: 1/4, 1/8 (V), and 1/16 DIN. With a compact depth of just 2.5 inches (63 mm), they fit seamlessly into any panel, product, or enclosure.
Designed for versatility, these controllers accept voltage, current (with an external resistor), and direct temperature inputs from thermocouples and RTDs. This makes them perfect for any application that requires easily adjustable and visible set points.
The SuperNova controllers feature a modern reverse polarity LCD screen that clearly displays the process variable (PV), set value (SV), and manipulated value (output level%, MV). The front panel includes clear indicators for RUN, COM, OUT 1 & 2, REM, MANU, TUNE, and LOCK, along with unit indicators (˚C, ˚F, %, or none).
Switching between auto and manual control modes is simple. Just hold down the SET and Down buttons. A graphic on the front panel shows that these buttons control the Auto/Manual (A/M) function:

The main control outputs can be configured as a 4-20 mA (SCR), voltage pulse (SSR), or relay output. A secondary control output relay is included, allowing for one or two-direction set value control (for heating and cooling).
Enhance your control capabilities with two alarm relays. These relays can be used for alarm notifications or simple control tasks. Alarms can be set based on the process variable or deviations from the current set value.
For added functionality, a 4-20 mA retransmit option is available. This allows you to retransmit the process variable, set value, or output level, which is particularly useful for temperature inputs like thermocouples and RTDs. Additional options include a secondary 4-20 mA input for remote set value control and RS-485 for Modbus communication.
Connect easily to your PC using the mini-USB port for monitoring, programming, and data logging with SuperNova software. This USB port is conveniently located on the rear for PD510 1/16 DIN models, and on the front behind an IP65 rubber tab for PD520 and PD530 1/8 and 1/4 DIN models.
