FineTek SIS Sanitary Intelligent Level Switch

Hygienic process environments need level sensors built for CIP and SIP cycles — the FineTek SIS sanitary intelligent level switch fits that requirement, delivering high and low level alarm duty in process tanks and pipelines from a compact body that installs even in confined spaces, with surface roughness (Ra) selectable to suit sanitary standards.

How It Works

The SIS relies on frequency sweep technology. Its sensor tip transmits an electric field signal, and every medium produces a distinct resonance frequency. When product covers the sensor, that resonance frequency shifts, triggering the switching output — giving reliable detection with no moving parts involved.

Installation Notes

  • Avoid installation positions where highly viscous media or sediment can build up, as residue may be detected as liquid.
  • For top-mounted installation, a rear-mounted type with auxiliary rod extension can be positioned lower (auxiliary rod ordered separately).
  • An auxiliary rod extending through sediment helps prevent severe bridging.

Working PrincipleThe sensor sends a “scan-frequency” electromagnetic signal; different materials emit different responding frequency. The sensor switches its output when powered by (in contact with) the target material.
FunctionSingle-point level detection of liquid, viscous medium, and powder medium in a container or pipe; pump dry-run protection; provides 2 independently-adjustable output signals for detecting 2 kinds of medium (e.g. oil and water)
