The Shimax MAC5 Digital PID Temperature Controller accepts virtually any common sensor input — thermocouple, RTD, or millivolt — through a single universal input terminal, so one controller model can be stocked and specified across a wide range of process and temperature applications instead of ordering a different input-specific unit for each sensor type. Built-in PID auto-tuning takes the guesswork out of loop tuning, calculating stable control parameters automatically rather than requiring a technician to tune the loop manually.
Available in four panel sizes from a full 96x96mm down to a compact 48x48mm, all sharing the same slim 62-65mm panel depth, the MAC5 drives relay, SSR, or 4-20mA current outputs to match whatever final control element it’s paired with. Optional alarm outputs, a second control output, and a digital input extend the base controller into split-range or interlocked control setups without stepping up to a larger, more expensive unit.
