The Setra SRH400 is a modular humidity and temperature transmitter built around a basic unit plus interchangeable probes, rather than one fixed sensing head. The basic unit can take either one combined RH/T probe (S07) or two separate probes for RH and T, and the probes come in plastic or stainless steel, plugging directly into the base or connecting through M12 extension cables up to 10 metres long. There’s also an optional kit for duct-mounted installations.
In actual application, this modular setup means you can swap or extend probes without replacing the whole transmitter, which is useful in plants where sensor placement changes over time. The basic unit itself has a metal enclosure for wall mounting, and puts out two analog signals (voltage or 4-20mA current, 2-wire) for the humidity and temperature readings, with an optional display if you want to read values locally. Calibration adjustments for RH and temperature are done with push buttons right on the electronics board, or the probes can be adjusted individually using Setra’s PCA Product Configuration Adapter.
From our experience, this is built for tougher environments – it’s fully shielded, powder-coated, die-cast, and all the external hardware is stainless steel, so it holds up well in cleanrooms, data centers, pharmaceutical facilities, and general industrial process areas.
