The Setra Model 256 pressure transmitter is an advanced device engineered with Setra’s patented variable capacitance sensing technology, ensuring precise and reliable measurements. Its construction includes a 17-4PH stainless steel diaphragm connected to a gold-plated ceramic electrode, forming a variable capacitor. This innovative design enables accurate detection of pressure changes, which are then converted into a linear DC signal using Setra’s integrated circuit.

The versatility of the Setra Model 256 makes it suitable for use with corrosive liquids or gases. Its cast aluminum housing features a dual-cavity design that isolates sensitive components and circuitry from the terminals. Internally, the device utilizes a “dry” capacitor structure filled with silicone or fluoro oil, eliminating the risk of measurement media contamination. With its NEMA4 compliance, the Setra Model 256 can operate continuously in all weather conditions.
