The Setra 239 is a high-accuracy, low differential pressure transducer used a lot as the benchmark instrument for low and medium-range pressure measurement. It’s built around Setra’s variable capacitance sensor – a stainless steel diaphragm and a fixed electrode forming a variable capacitor – which converts pressure changes into a clean, linear DC signal.
In actual application, this design gives it a fast response time and a stable reading even after repeated overpressure events, which is why we see it used in HVAC control and monitoring, cleanroom pressure monitoring, leak detection, energy management, and even wind speed measurement in research and meteorology work. It comes in standard ±0.14% FS accuracy, or an optional ±0.073% FS high-performance version if your application needs tighter measurement.
The unit is available in unidirectional and bidirectional ranges, with a choice of voltage output signals, so it can usually be matched to what your existing controller or data acquisition system expects. It’s built with a stainless steel or hard-anodized aluminium wetted section, so it holds up in most clean, dry air and non-corrosive gas applications.
