FineTek SC Series Tuning Fork Level Switch
Foam, coating, and turbulence throw off a lot of level switches — the FineTek SC Series tuning fork level switch isn’t one of them. It’s a robust point-level sensor for liquids that delivers dependable high and low level detection with no moving parts, no calibration, and minimal upkeep.
How It Works
An electronics-driven piezoelectric crystal vibrates the tuning fork at a set frequency, while a second crystal converts the transmitted vibration back into an electrical signal. When liquid surrounds the forks, that vibration is damped and the frequency shifts — a change the electronics pick up to switch the output. Once the forks clear the liquid, vibration returns to normal and the output reverts automatically.
